Pomegranates are such beautiful fruits, smooth and sturdy on the outside, hiding a treasure of jewel-like seeds inside.

This candle burns slowly, and is made to cast a warm scarlet light as the flame gently illuminates the wax from within, like a glowing heart revealed over time.

The pomegranate, with its crimson seeds, speaks of life’s cycles, fertility, abundance, death, and renewal.

n the old myth, Persephone, daughter of Demeter and Zeus, was both the maiden of Spring and the Queen of the Underworld. Taken by Hades and tricked into eating six pomegranate seeds, she was bound to spend part of each year below the earth. In her absence, Demeter grieved, and winter came. But when Persephone rose again, the flowers bloomed, and the world was made new, turning ever onward in the rhythm of the seasons.
