J Herbin - Fountain Pen Ink - Rose Cyclamen
Designed and made in France, this ink is part of the "La Perle des Encres" or "The Jewel of Inks" range. It is a water based, natural dye ink so is smooth flowing, fast drying and easy to clean, making it ideal for beginners.
Each 30ml glass bottle has a square shape with a groove on top that can be used as a pen rest. These bottles are known as "D" bottles, which refers to the old French unit of measure "la Demi Courtine."
Founded in 1670, J. Herbin is one of the oldest names in formal ink production in the world. The company's history can be traced back to a French sailor named Jacques Herbin, who drew on the techniques and innovations found on his voyages to establish himself as a master wax maker, later expanding into the production of ink and fine stationery.
