This collection of bee related products was inspired after I noticed a swarm of bees across the road from my shop, a few weeks before Christmas last year.
With a curiosity to learn more about the life of bees, I decided to curate a collection of the most beautiful bee related products I could find, to honour these amazing insects.
Given that anything with a seed or pip has most likely been pollinated by bees, it resonated how important they are for our very own survival; and therefore the need to highlight their plight, and to learn what we can do to help ourselves, by helping the bees.
Here then is my selection of products, inspired by, with thanks, and ‘For The Love of BEES’.
PLEASE NOTE : We are unable to ship honey, tea and Santa Maria Novella items outside of New Zealand.

Apis Cera from Aix-en-Provence
We are delighted to introduce beautiful handmade candles and soaps, made from organic beeswax in the atelier of Apis Cera of Aix-en-Provence.
Natural beeswax is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic and non-polluting, so candles produced from beeswax burn cleaner and longer than other types of candles.
With the exquisitely subtle perfume of natural honey, let yourself be soothed by the light of the flickering flame of these exceptionally handcrafted beeswax candles.
There are two organic soaps in the Apis Cera collection : Imperial is made with argan oil and beeswax, and Majestic is made with lavender and organic honey from the Provence region in the south of France.
BEES UP TOP
Bees Up Top was founded by Jess and Luke, with an aim to increase New Zealand’s bee population by supplying healthy, happy hives to urban areas and to educate our future generations on the importance of keeping honey bees around.
They rescue bee swarms before the exterminator is called in and re-home them, and say their goal is to one day have healthy beehives in every urban area in New Zealand.
MIEL DES COLLINES
“Miel des Collines is French for “honey from the hills” and was founded by Pauline Dogniez, a French woman who decided to travel the world in 2014, to finally become a beekeeper in one of the most beautiful and preserved places in the world; Raglan, 160 km south of Auckland.
Pauline has chosen to look after a small number of bee hives, to produce limited editions of high quality raw artisan honey, harvested with love and care for her honey bees. She operates exclusively on her farm, near Raglan, overlooking the Aotea Harbour.
STORM + INDIA
Storm + India is a New Zealand-based tea company run by sisters Storm and India. From their mother’s notebooks and recipes, the sisters have created their own blends of bespoke teas, using premium, organic tea leaves and ingredients from around the world.
Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is one of the oldest pharmacies in the world, and was established by the Dominican Fathers shortly after 1221, the year of their arrival in Florence. From the herbs cultivated in their gardens, the monks gained renown for their balms and creams, and in 1612 the pharmacy was opened to the public.
Today the tradition of high quality and limited production is still being continued. The essences and fragrances used for their soaps, body care and home fragrances represent a unique characteristic of the pharmacy.
There is no animal testing and pesticides are not used. Scrupulous attention to cultivation ensures the high quality of all products from Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella.
Here we present a sample of their products, specifically as they relate to bee products. You can visit our main page to view all the items in our range by clicking here
